"I hope you all enjoyed General Conference as much as I did, to us missionaries, it's like watching Super Bowl. We watched it as a modern chapel unfortunately in some areas, church is held either at someone's house or at a warehouse.
If there's one thing I want to share with you this week is the importance of goal setting. Goals reflect the desires of our hearts and our vision of what we want to accomplish. Through goals and plans, our hopes are transformed into action.
Well this week went by so fast, when you work hard, you lose track of time. Last week, my companion and I went tracking up in one of the riches areas. We walked up to these people who were smoking majiuana. We introduced ourselves but they mockingly laughed at us. It reminded me of the scripture in the Book of Ether 12:26, "Fools mock, but they shall mourn...." We left with them our testimony and a pamphlet then moved on.
We're currently teaching a Chinese woman and one time we taught her about the living prophet of today just like Moses in the Bible, her face lifted with big excitement, she said, "LIVING PROPHET???WAAAAY-BOY!!!" I laughed and said, "Yes Michelle, a living prophet." I got goose bumps when Eld. Packer said at the end of his talk in General Conference, "I bear witness of Him." Now I can say, "I AM A WITNESS." Btw, congrats to Dallin Tupua and his family for going through the Temple, always great to hear news like that. That's all for now, miss you guys."
