Afternoon family & friends. This is the saddest day ever to hear of the passing of Coach Longshore. My heart goes out to his family, I am really going to miss him :( Despite that, I am excited to hear of Wayne's decision to go on a mission. Tell him I said to STAY STRONG during this process of preparing to serve the Lord.
The Villiage that I'm serving at, Valencia, is an interesting place. It's really small and many residents are in the bushy areas. I am in a trio companionship, Eld. Ferrin and Eld. Kippen. Our apartment is really nice and we're getting along just fine. I do miss my first companion, Eld. Hatch and he is one that I would like to stay in touch with after my mission. We're in the Sandy Grande ward, a little smaller than the Port of Spain ward.
Last night we had an appointment with some families who are living in the bush area and we had to park our car far away from where they live. It's quite a walk from our car to these homes where we made the appointments with. After our discussion, we started walking back and all of a sudden we felt a light drizzle of rain. We knew that our car was quite a distance, so we started sprinting. We saw a shelter on the side, we stopped there to catch our breath hoping the rain would stop soon but it didn't, so we started sprinting towards the car. By the time we got there, we were totally soaked from head to toe. Awww, these are moments I will never forget, nothing more exciting than sprinting through the rain with scriptures in your hands and heading to another appointment!
Today, all the missionaries in Trinidad are getting together to go caroling in the hot sun!!!:) Afterwards, we will head out to the mission home for a Thanksgiving dinner:). Love my mission!
