Good afternoon family!
Ooooo Gooosh Philippines???? That's awesome, wow what an exciting news. I just had some church's chicken and hearing this is dessert for me:) haha! Plenty time for Lawrence to prepare and I know he will be ready to go as soon as he gets into the MTC.
Winston's baptism went great, I confirmed him a member of the church yesterday. It was a neat experience for me because it was my first time doing confirmation.
Today I studied and pondered upon Alma 34:8-16, but to sum it up, this should help everyone understand and to know that "Christ shall come among the children of men to take upon Him the transgression of His people and that He shall atone for the sins of the world...." This goes on to show how Christ is the quintessence of who we need to look to as says in verse 13...."every whit pointing to that great and last sacrifice will be the Son of God, yea, infinite and eternal."
Elder Woodruff and I are doing great together. He's kind of a quiet guy so I like to crack jokes on him and that has loosened him up a bit...nice guy! He's from Tree-mountain Utah. This week he asked me how I became a good speaker and I told him my experience in doing sales in Tennessee and reading the book, "How to win friends and influence people and of course just lot of prayers and studying the scriptures whole heartedly. You can be the best or a great speaker in the world, but if you don't have the spirit, you're dormant!
Hey this is funny...yesterday we had lunch at the Branch President's home and the Young Women's President, Sis. Kirton told me that all the YW think I'm "healthy." this is their code talk for "good looking," haha....if I do have a tiny bit of that, I must get it from you Mom:)
Well, hang in there Mom, time goes fast, can't believe I'm approaching my 1 year mark:) time is going nah mann!
By the way, Tammie and Roy Gilbert will be baptized this Saturday!!:) The senior couple will be down at the district meeting tomorrow so hopefully they can pick up my box...thanks for that again Mom!
Well, keep me updated with the Muti/Brown family. I look forward to hearing from you all next week. Have a great week!
With love,
Eld. Brown
