Hello family!
Haha thank you for the trunky pictures. I hope aunty Tiare didn't fall badly from the cone lol!
Thank you Mom and aunty Se for my lovely package:)) feels like Christmas when I receive a package from home! Too bad Elder Felix wasn't here to enjoy the treats with me. Yes, I do love the ties:)) My interest in ties has never been so great until I served a mission. I have a secret collection of ties that I trade and keep in my suitcase, these are ties that I want to come home with!
It has been a great week for Elder Woodruff and I. Last Saturday we baptized Roy and Tammy Gilbert. That was a huge success for all of us. We are currently working with Roy's children and they should be baptized this week or next week.
As you see in one of the pictures, there wasn't enough water in the font, so I had to baptize Roy and Tammy on my knees. As soon as we came up from the water, their 4 year old son yelled out, "Elder Brong...where's your bra?" haha, I said, "hey, that's muscles you're seeing." I love this family!
A struggle for us this week, Elder Woodruff has the shingles, it's all over his chest and back which is keeping us in the apartment for 5 days. We had to call other elders to come and babysit my companion while the other companion can be with me working in my area. I'm hoping we will be good to go on Wednesday.
All these time sitting in the apartment I have been studying, never had I studied for so long that I slept with my head on my scriptures! haha...it felt great, best scene ever if someone had taken a picture haha!
Well family, I hope everyone is doing good as I am. Nothing is more sweet than learning and preaching the gospel. I look forward to hearing from you all next week.
With love,
Elder Brown
