October 27th - If home teaching was successful here, we probably would have a temple in the Caribbean by now!

Good morning family!

It's nice to see Lawrence finally a missionary.  I have no doubt that he's having a lot of fun and learning so much at the MTC!

Weird to think I will be home soon.  I often ponder about what I will be sharing in my home coming talk and how fun it would be to hold a church calling.  I think I have said this before and I want to say it again....I wish I did more home teaching and had a better attitude about it when Dad used to call me out to go with him haha!  Well, I now know the importance of home teaching, goes the same way to visiting teaching!  IF HOME TEACHING WAS UP AND RUNNING IN THE CARIBBEAN, WE WOULD PROBABLY HAVE A TEMPLE BY NOW.

So far Elder Guzman and I are doing great, we sure do love working with other missionaries in our Zone.  We are planning to fly out to Tobago in 3 weeks to do trade-offs with the missionaries there, it's going to be fun:)

This past week I had a cyst on my knee and couldn't go out and work for 2 days.  I had a minor surgery on it to get all the junk out and now I am doing 10 times better so no worries Mom:).  I know you're wondering what happened but its from praying on my knees too much haha!

A huge success for us this past week was we had the Rampersaud family finally attended Church with us yay! They Rampersaud have 2 kids, Lance is 15 and Talesia is 16.  We have been working with them for over a month now and yesterday was the first time they attended church.  During the time we were teaching and working with them, a lot of our discussions we would always mentioned church attendance!  We tried to help them make plans ahead of time and one of the members from Couva ward picked them up.  After church, we followed up with them how they felt and they said they enjoyed it very much and would like to come back next time.  They still have a little hesitant to be baptized when we brought it up to them, but we let them ponder and pray about it. We sure do love this family and are excited to see them again this week.

Well I pray you all have a safe and enjoyable week!  I am so happy to hear about Siki and her little family getting sealed.  In our gospel principle class yesterday, the lesson was on eternal marriage which got me a little thinking about my wedding someday haha....calm down Mom I am totally focused on the work, but really I am so excited for what is ahead of me!

Have a great week everyone!

With love,
Elder Brown1
