Wom family!
What a joy it is to see Elder Brown finally set apart and out. Thank you Mom for all the pictures, makes all my emails fun haha! Wow what an exciting week it has been for all of you. I am so grateful that I come from a family of missionaries!!
Transfer finally came and Elder Guzman and I will be serving another 6 weeks together in Couva! We have a new missionary in our Zone and a different DL in Tobago. I am excited to work a lot harder with our wonderful missionaries in our Zone again.
Do you remember my previous mission companions from Valencia? Elder Ferrin? Well, now he is the new AP to President Mehr because my very first companion, Eld. Hatch will finish up his mission from St. Vincent as a Zone Leader. I can't believe my "mission dad" will be going home at the end of this transfer, time has gone by so fast!
On Saturday, Pres. Mehr performed the baptism of a young family in the Couva ward. This is the first time that a mission president has ever baptized an investigator in our mission, so there were a lot of people came to witness the baptism. Btw, Pres. Mehr and his wife will be finishing up in July of 2015....gonna miss them so much, but I'm looking forward to my new mission president that will come in their replacement.
A success for us this week was when we saw the Rampersaud family. We brought Bishop Rupa with us and had a really good lesson and discussion on the word of wisdom, strongly felt the spirit. Our main focus is getting them to come to church so they can feel and witness what the restored church is like. So far we have committed them to be baptized but no set date yet, so we're hoping and praying that all will fall into place.
As I've mentioned in my last week email regarding the amount of investigators we have but they don't come to church. So our goal again is to bridge that gap.
Well Mom and Dad you now have 2 missionaries....how do you feel? Man I almost cried when I listened to Lawrence's farewell talk....that was awesome. He's truly an Ammon and I'm captain Moroni haha! Congrats to Sione Otu and his mission call...that's awesome and I'm excited for him!
I hope you guys have a fun and safe week!
With love,
Elder Brown
P.s....hey Mom, I think you should get a bulldog to keep you company when Nana is off to school, or when I get home I'll buy us a nice dog! (My reply....heck no, annoying!)
