November 10th - Are we ready to meet our Maker?

Good morning family & friends!

Appreciate all the emails and wonderful pictures...love them all!  Man I'm so excited for WX, hope they win over Timpview, go cheer for me everyone!

I had a good laugh at Paul's temple experience....too funny!  I pray he may continue to go to the temple weekly so he can learn more of the true nature of our Heavenly Father.

Good to hear grandma, Papa and Nana made it home safe, would have been so sad if the plane crashed.  Elder Russel M. Nelson had a similar experience like them.  One time, Elder Nelson was returning home when the plane was facing some difficulties and was so sure the plane was going to crash.  He said, "I was perfectly calm, I knew I was going to die, and I was ready to meet my Maker.  Can we truly say we are ready to meet our Maker?  If not we have need to fear."  I love the words of the Latter day prophets and apostles.  Elder Guzman and I downloaded ALL the general conference talks and BYU devotionals from the church website and we listen to it as we drive to our appointments.  My testimony has grown so much from listening to these inspired men of the Lord.  I often catch myself quoting from recent talks I have listened to in my lessons.  If you want to listen to a great talk, I urge you to listen to Elder Neil A. Maxwell, he is one of my favorite people to listen to and he 's one of the leaders that expounds a lot on the doctrinal diamonds the scriptures contain.

Finally at the close of an arduous week, I have definitely felt the spirit work through me as I have been laboring diligently like the sons of Mosiah...well a little close haha!  Our hard work paid off and the spirit did his part because last Saturday, our Zone had 3 baptisms and Pres. Mehr and his wife were present.  This coming Saturday, Betty and Joshua will be baptized and President and sister Mehr will be there again.  I am SO excited for the progress our Zone is making, as we continue to work diligently we will reach our mission goal of 600 baptismal by the end of the year.

I'm excited for this week, lots going on like tomorrow all the Zone leaders in the mission will be in a fireside at the mission home.  We will be having our MLC and elder Patetefa and his companion will be staying at our apartment for these 2 days:), so looking fwd to see Elder. Patetefa especially!

Well that's about it, hope all have a safe and enjoyable week!

With love,
Elder Brown

P.s...Got my gold, 2 of them!
