March 16th - Pauline, the house-keeper

Wom family!

Serving as a leader in the church is a great thing! I know Lawrence would be a great leader in the church as well! Congrats to Amanaki's wife, I hope she will continue to read from The Book of Mormon!  It is the key to lasting conversion in the church!

2. Did you guys do anything special for their 50th anniversary?

6.  Wow that is great news!  Do you know if coach Lily is still there?

Boy this past week was stupendous!!  Elder Merrell and I put in some good work in the Lord's vineyard.  Two weeks ago Elder and Sister Horne (Senior Couple) referred us to teach one of the house-keepers, her name is Pauline.

The day we got her contact information we called and set an appointment when we could see her.  Pauline lives in an area where we have never been so on the day of the appointment we started our trek.  We had no idea that she lived that far on foot.  We walked for a good 2 hours uphill, she lives in an area where only one bus comes in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon. I probably lost a good 5 pounds walking that day, haha.

About an hour into our walk Elder Merrell and I started to sing, "Ill go where you want me to go" :)  Pauline has been married for 15 years and has 5 kids all but 2 are over the age for baptism!  We had a sweet first lesson with the family and we have been meeting with them on a regular basis.  They all came to church this past week and are preparing to be baptized on April 4th! It is so amazing to see how prepared this family is, they already say they know this is true and are so willing to give up anything to be baptized!

Another success we had was we had two other investigators who are preparing for baptism on April 4th came to church and we reactivated 1 less active member! We have been diligent in setting the expectation of our visits with people we meet, letting them know that we are not here just to have a little "bible study" but to help them come unto Christ by being "baptized unto repentance". The work in Vieux-Fort is moving forward, and we are excited for another week of giving our best efforts to the Lord!

Hope you all have a great week! :)

With love,

My man Oswald, this day I told him that he will be baptized on April 18th if he'd let us come by and see him on a regular basis
