2. Yes Elder Rivers! I met him once in Trinidad! He is a big boy! haha loves to eat and he is pretty funny!
3. Tana will serve somewhere in the U.S. :)
4. That's so nice to hear about Deon. She definitely has made great progress from where she was in high school and now! #TheChurchIsTrue
Week 1 is over now looking forward to this new week! Elder Tupou and I have been doing great together so far! Ha sometimes its hard to understand his english (so fob) haha so I have been helping him expatiate better in our companionship study. He definitely knows how to eat and he is a great cook! A few days ago we purchased a huge box of chicken. I have been eating like a Tongan these past few days its great! :)
Something that we have been focusing on this past week was member work. Elder Tupou has been showing me around the area he worked in in the past and helping me know where members live. As we strengthen the testimonies of the members here, I have noticed their desire to share it with others. One great success from that was this past Sunday. We invited one of our recent convert to ponder and pray about someone she knew can come to church with her. Sunday came and we met Lester! He stayed for all 3 hours of and expressed how he really enjoyed the classes. He told me how we will see him again next Sunday and invited us to come teach him throughout the week!
Awesome experience I had on Friday as we were heading to a next appointment I received a text message from someone I gave a Book of Mormon to last month. Sheryln expressed how she just had a death in the family and she has been wondering where her grandmother is, that was when she felt the need to pick up The Book of Mormon and call us. We will be seeing her tomorrow and hoping we can have her whole family join with us!
Well that is it from me, I will be teaching my first District Meeting tomorrow! I will be teaching about member work and finding through our own efforts!
