It sure has been a great and uplifting week watching General Conference. At the beginning of the session I said a little prayer in my heart asking the Lord to teach me something that I really need to do. I really enjoyed all talks, each talk taught me something that I need to apply in my life. I thought it was interesting how President Monson spoke twice, in Priesthood and Sunday session. I really enjoyed Elder Packer, Elder Holland, and Elder Anderson's talk. So many talks I loved but those were my top three.
Friday I got my transfer call from President Mehr! I am going to be the District Leader/Zone Leader for the whole island of St. Lucia. This is huge because President Mehr got rid of two District Leaders leaving me alone to hold down the island with Elder Tupou!! haha Elder Tupou is my new companion and we will be staying in Vieux-Fort.
This past Saturday we had the baptism of Pauline and Johnneil Hyppolyte. Nothing more euphonious than the waters of baptism! After the baptism Pauline bore a powerful testimony of the gospel and her journey to baptism. She is by far the most prepared person I have ever taught on my mission. We are currently working with her two kids and husband now.
Something I have learned this past week is that the Lord is not only mindful of our spiritual needs but also our temporal needs. How blessed we are to have all the appurtenances necessary for all the world to hear the words of the living prophet and the council of the twelve.
Sorry I don't have too much time to write you all today, we are busy getting things ready for the new transfer.
Everything here is irie! We safe gasa! Love you all family! :)
With love,
Elder Brown
