Wom nah family!
I have been reading the book The Infinite Atonement and it's such a good book! Although I am only on chapter 3, I can't even tell you how much I've learned about the Atonement of Christ. I now have a much deeper understanding and greater appreciation for our Savior, Jesus Christ for what he did for us. In the book it says, "The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the most supernal, mind expanding, passionate doctrine this universe will ever know." I agree, it's so true!
You probably wondered why I didn't write on Monday, well, we had a Zone conference. President Mehr talked about our theme which was, "Doctrine of repentance." He said, "Forgiveness is part of repentance and when we learn to forgive, heavy burdens that we shouldered are being lifted then we begin to feel the Savior's love for us."
Then Eld. Hatch's uncle, Eld. Anderson, who is in the quorum of the Seventy spoke to us about the Atonement. He said, "True repentance is impossible without the Atonement." I know this to be true. It also requires the Holy Ghost to bring a change of heart to someone. It takes mind, knowledge, goal-structure, and even the way you breath to bring change. He also talked about the law of consecration and wow that was another awesome subject that I would like to discuss another time.
Yes, we're still working with Michael and his family. They're very receptive to the Spirit, but not much on Michael though and he understands that he couldn't be baptized but he loves what we teach. Well, thank you so much for the treats, we munched on it during our study time. I am doing great and hope everyone back home are too.
By the way, today marks my 5th month out on my mission…..time has gone by super fast! Anyway that's all for now. Hope to hear from you all next time.
