January 27th - Basketball

Good afternoon family!

Well this week in Trinidad has been awesome!  Last Wednesday, Eld. Ferrin and I had all of our appointments fell through for the night and decided to continue finding people to teach.  We drove into a neighborhood close by our apartment and saw some guys playing basketball.  Eld. Ferrin had this sweet idea of befriending these guys by playing basketball with them.  So we played two-on-two and guess what, we dominated everyone until these 2 tall guys showed up and beat us…hahaha.  Good fun!

The huge success for the week was, we finally got Cindy and Jason to get married and followed with Cindy being baptized by Eld. Ferrin.  I will baptize Jason as soon as we completed teaching him all the lessons.  So we're looking forward to that.

Transfer call is next Friday and all the missionaries in my zone are already making predictions on where they will be going.  I predicted that I will be going to Guyana and hoping to serve with Eld. Patetefa….we shall see!  But, I will go wherever the Lord wants me there will my heart be also:)

I'm glad to hear about your training of how to be a better teacher.  When you increase your vision and what you want to take place when you teach, your motivation will increase as well, but this can only come when you diligently search, study and obtain the scriptures and prayers.

Man, I can't believe Keenan is home already.  Thanks for those pictures from his party, he sure looks trunkie, meaning he looks a little home sick, probably home sick for his mission.

Okay that's all for now and yes I do keep a journal Mom.  Hope everyone has a good week:)

love,
Eld. Brown
