Good morning family!
It was so good to hear all the good news going on with our family. Thank you so much Mom for sharing your testimony of the gospel. I too know that this is the only true Church! Thank you for sharing Eld. Muti's testimony. It sounded like he was a boss (awesome) missionary! I will definitely take this advice and increase service and love for our investigators. Reading your letter motivates me to work even harder, so I thank you and I appreciate all the great and wonderful stories and testimonies.
As far as our 3 investigators that were supposed to be baptized last Saturday, we weren't able to go through with it, not that they didn't want to be baptized but my companion and I didn't feel they were ready. We've moved their baptism date to April 5th.
This week, my companion and I are focusing more on the Book of Mormon. We feel that by helping our investigators apply what they read and study in the BOM can increase their understanding of this book. Not only that, when they read it and find something they can relate to, they will be more interested in reading it and believing that this book testifies of Christ.
We also have been studying the book in depth so that we can teach the book with conviction instead of our normal tutorial of the book itself. My testimony of the BOM has strengthened me and I treasure every word continually in my mind and heart, so when I share and bear my testimony to others, I feel the words come out with full conviction. I know this book to be true. The Book of Mormon is the cornucopia in doing missionary work!!
Last Saturday evening as you can see in some of the pictures, all the wards and branches gathered together in Port of Spain to celebrate the 25 years of the Church in the Caribbean! It was an awesome feeling to see and catch up with some of my old friends and converts from the Port of Spain ward. Lots of dancing and singing…such a great turn out!
Transfer call came in on the same day, Eld. Schroeder and I will be together in Valencia. This time we are very determined to baptize more people in this area. I spoke with President Mehr just recently about our area and he said that not a whole lot of missionaries were successful in Valencia and he's keeping us there again because he feels that we can improve the work here.
Eld. Schroeder has set record in the Zone for setting up the most baptism dates and so we are hoping to slam dunk our investigators very soon. We're doing really great here in Valencia and we know the work will increase as we continue to be diligent and never discouraged.
Well, that's all from me, I hope to hear from all of you next time!
Love,
Elder Brown
P.S.….Mom can you please put a little bit more money into my account…need to buy some protein, thanks Mom…love you!
