Good afternoon family!
Wow! Congrats to Lawrence and Tana for making it to their dream college. That's awesome! Just looking back at many times Lawrence used to say he would go to BYU and play football and now look, part of his dream is being fulfilled. I am so proud of him and his great desires in life!
As for Tana, I am not surprised that boys like her so much cause she's super talented, kind and pretty but tell Tana it's mission first hahaha…hope uncle Kaau and aunty Se will approve of whoever she dates lol.:)
I can't believe uncle Ma'u is gone but he's in a better place doing what he loves to do (dancing). Tell Milika she's in my prayers.
During the lock down, I've been pondering about my life here in the mission field and I am shocked with how much I have grown spiritually. It's amazing what a mission can do for you in 6 months so far. Can you believe next Friday will mark my 7 months serving the Lord? Time flies but so much work to do.
Not much have happened this past week due to the lock down, but Eld. Schroeder and I have met all our weekly goals, but on the other hand, we have not been able to get any investigators to Church. We brought this up in our district meeting and came to a solution that we need to involve the members and fellow-shippers to help find investigators. So our goal for this week is to get more members to go out and teach with us.
I'm sure you're all wondering what we have been doing during the lock down. Well, we did a lot of reading, talked stories, played board games, baked brownies and we watched the Testaments 4 times haha! We also had the Elders from the Grande joined us and that really added to the fun.
Yesterday, we got permission from President Mehr to attend the Branch activity in Arima. It was super fun, we had a BBQ, played some football, cricket and board games. I guess we needed that after being in the house for many days.
Oh, guess what? There's this coconut tree outside by our apartment that's owned by one of our neighbors. We asked if we could have some and he said, "Yah mahn, if you can climb it, it's yours." So I climbed and cut down 12 coconuts…cool huh?
Now that the carnival is over, it feels so good to wear our missionary clothes again. We're looking forward to work harder than ever and find those that are ready to be taught. As for the Edwards family, they struggle in believing the Pre-earth life, so this week we will focus on that and also the Restoration. When you don't understand the Restoration, then you will have a hard time understanding everything else!
Well, I can't wait to hear from all of you next week. Remember to continue to search, ponder and pray!
Love,
Elder Brown
ps…Sorry no pictures this week, but I'll send some next time.
