On Mother's day about noon, phone rang. Elder Brown pranked mum….aughhhh same old son!
Skype conversation: Elder Brown: "Mum, is it okay if I'll bring Elder Felix home with me after my mission? He wants to come to school in America and study to be a Nurse and return one day and help his people."
Mum: "Sure, love to have him as part of our family."
Lawrence & Taiana: "Yeah, that's great."
Elder Brown: "Mum, remember whenever you send stuff, remember there's now two of us."
Mum: "Got it son."
Elder Brown: "Mum, can you open the fridge and let us see what food do you have in it?"
Mum: "Why?"
Elder Brown & Elder Felix: "There's no food here, we're hungry, we're not allowed to eat at the members home.
Mum: "Really? That's great, glad you're finally struggling, that will strengthen your testimony and be closer to our Father in Heaven."
Elder Brown: "Okay…..but can you send some protein at least and thank you Mum."
Mum: "Tell us about Guyana."
Elder Brown: "HOT! More church members here in this area, but lot of less active members too. We take a bath from a bucket and the bathroom is outside, not very sanitized but I'm adjusting to it. Elder Felix is very nice, we get a long well, he's funny too. I've lost a little bit of weight too. Btw, my first companion, Elder Hatch, he's now the AP to President Mehr. Remember how I told you that one day he will be an apostle? He's heading that way."
More conversation and at the end he said, "Mum, make sure to send my application to BYU. I don't want to go to Dixie anymore.
Mum: "Focus on your mission, do your part and the Lord will take care of the rest." Love you son and don't ever prank me like that."
