May 19th: "Have I been giving the Lord my all?"

Wom goin' famili?

I am already picking up the Guyanese slang here.  Haha!

Looking through all the pictures is making me a little trunky!  Haha-- everyone looks so mature now, I can't believe I have been out for 9 months!

Last night as I was writing in my journal, I reflected upon my farewell.  The song that Tana and the girls sang really stuck out to me at this point of my mission to "give it your all."  I asked myself the question, "HAVE I BEEN GIVING THE LORD MY ALL?"  Looking back at the progress that I have made throughout my mission I can confidently say, that I have given the Lord my all everyday.

I have pondered much upon the Savior's Atonement, and to this day I still can't grasp everything He went through and how it applies to us.  But one thing I know for sure that I have developed a greater appreciation for our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Thinking of how I can express my love and gratitude for Him and His Atonement is not shown necessarily by the number of baptisms I have or the numbers my companion and I put up, but by how DILIGENTLY I am able to work, that is my way of showing gratitude for Him.

Answers to your questions Mum:  Brother Kahn will be baptized this Friday!!:)  Sister Bessesar is still working on her marriage papers so she can get baptized on the 31st.  In our Branch, we have over 300 members, but only 70-80 people show up to church.  We will be having our Branch council meeting on Wednesday and we'll talk with them about the Provident Living idea.  Elder Felix first name is Janal.

Today, Elder Felix took a nap and woke up and told me he had a dream that he was in Utah sitting at the park, lol.

Anyway, I sure do love and miss you all, have a great week!

Love,
Elder Brown
