Whagoin family!
How is everyone doing? Anything exciting happening this week? How is our ward? Nice to see those pictures of our primary kids, wow they all have grown so much. Good to see Achilles, funny boy! Good to hear Ulysses is going to compete...he's going to win!!
Well this week was awesome! Elder Woodruff and I worked our tails off and we were able to meet every single one of our goals! Last Monday I shared with Elder Woodruff about what Coach Lily used to say to us before we hit the field, "Start right, end right and everything else in the middle will take care of itself." Last night he was like, "man Elder Brown, you were right, we started the week right and ended right." Though at times we felt inadequate, the Lord truly has blessed us this week.
Last night we were at the Gilberts' home (couple we baptized 2 weeks ago) teaching their children, Damien and Nigel. They are preparing for baptism this Saturday:) While we were there, bro. Gilbert expressed to us his desire to share the gospel. He asked us if it was okay that he brings some investigators to Church with him, almost immediately we said, "oh yes yes that would be wonderful."
Looking back at the mission-wide fast we had on the 6th for the purpose of finding more opportunities to share the gospel, wow it's amazing, it's happening. The Lord does hear our prayers. Just like what you shared Mom about Bishop Po'uha how we should pray not if the Lord "could" but if He "would." I know for a surety that this is a full effect! As we fast with members, it will inspire them to find people for us to teach and bring them into the water of baptism.
I am praying that this week will go as planned. We have 4 people preparing to be baptized this Saturday:) We have Damien, Nigel Gilbert, Shanta Sookdeo and Onica Benteck. They all came to church on Sunday. Amazing huh?
Family THE FIELD IS WHITE HERE IN GUYANA! I know the Lord is working side by side with us in His vineyard. I know it and could feel his presence daily.
I pray and hope everyone has a great week, till' next time!
With love,
Elder Brown
Ps...I told Pres. Kirton, my lion ring will pass down to my posterity and he laughed. Haha I can see you rolling your eyes mother!
