August 11th - Spiritually exhausted!

Whagoin' family!

Man what a week!!! This week we taught a total of 37 lesson, 10 of them was taught on Wednesday!  That was the most I have ever taught in a day!  Were we exhausted?  Yes, spiritually exhausted....need this to happen every week and everyday!

Baptism victims are still looking good for the upcoming weeks.  A success experience for us this week was getting 6 of our investigators that are preparing for baptism came to Church and was a perfect Sunday because one of the members spoke on the importance of the sacrament and its effectiveness on the lives of converts.  After Church I spoke with all of our investigators and they expressed how much they enjoyed the lessons in the classes they attended.

This Saturday, Nicola Grieves will be baptized.  She has been attending Church for so long but she just felt she wasn't ready to be baptized yet, but now she is.  So we're praying that everything will go well this week for her and for us as well.

This Thursday (YEAR MARK BOYY!!) I will be traveling to Surinam to renew my Visa.  It is most likely going to take a whole day for me to do that, not very excited about it cause we will be leaving our area dry:( but it's okay, this week we will work even harder to make up for that one day we will be gone.

Well, I have been pondering upon the greatness of our Father in Heaven and how I can become like Him some day.  This thought continues to take me back to one of my favorite scriptures found in Ether 12:27 read with me:  "And if men come unto meI will show unto them their weakness.  I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."  I just love the promise given here and with that being said, I am approaching my 1 year mark on my mission this Thursday, I will be doing a special personal fasting for the purpose of knowing what I can do to be more faithful, diligent and an obedient servant of the Lord, and also to show my gratitude to my Father in Heaven for what I've been blessed with from the time I left home to this day.  I feel I need to do this fasting so that I can be strengthened for my last 12 months of serving, so that I don't come home in vain!

Well family I hope everyone has a great week, I look forward to every P-day to hear from you all:)

With love,
Elder Brown

P.s....The last time I wore my suit was when I first arrived in Trinidad, it's too big on me now.  Love working with Elder Palavi, he's the Boss!  Can't wait to go on a trade-off with him!  I'm also hoping to see Elder Hansen sometime soon.  Great missionaries out here!
