August 4th - Sticky notes everywhere!

Good afternoon family!

What a joy to see our youth participated in the Pioneer trek and pushing those light handcarts:) Sure looks like you all had fun!

How was fast and testimony meeting?  Did the youth bear their testimony?

Well this week was alright, just a little stressful with a lot of our people that we committed to be baptized, their baptismal dates had to be pushed back, some didn't fully commit to be baptized and left without anyone really followed through.  But that didn't stop us from pressing forward, the other day we went finding pretty much all day.

But on a brighter note, we met a family that was referred to us by the Gilbert family that we baptized while back.  Sis. Gilbert introduced to us her brother, 2 sisters and their daughter.  They're such a sweet family.  We taught them and they have accepted the invitation to be baptized without hesitation.  There's also one more member of the family that we haven't had a chance to teach cause he's always gone when we're there.  But I have no doubt that he will be baptized as soon as we teach him the gospel.

This family was planning to come to church on Sunday but the Gilbert's family's little son, Roy aka "two" fell off the balcony and broke his femur (see the picture).  The whole family had to go see him at the hospital.  Other than that, everything is going well with us.

I'm sure I've mentioned this but Elder Woodruff and I have a companionship goal to bring 10 souls unto the Lord.  To help us remember our goal, we put STICKY NOTES everywhere in our little place, saying "10 BAPTISMS."  We put one in the shower, by the toilet, in front of my study desk, on the mirror, one above the exit door.  So before we head out, we would slap the wall with the sticky note above the door just like how I used to slap that big WX Pride Rock before we run out to the field to play haha!

Soooo Mom, as you know my 1 year mark is coming up, so I was wondering if I can have a care package??? Please can you send me 2 white shirts (lrg), vibrant toothpaste (white/green) remember I used it at home a lot.  That's all Mom please...but if you like throw in some goodies for little Roy aka "two" and protein may be??? lol.  Thanks Mom!

Here's a challenge for you all, before you go to bed every night, read Moroni 8:3.  This is the last scripture I read before I go to bed. This work is amazing!   Have a fun and safe week!

With love,
Elder Brown

P.s...the picture of the 2 little girls, they asked us willingly if we can baptize them, so we did!
