August 25th - Love Bishop Po'uha's talk

Wuss-d-scenery family?

This week has been great for Elder Woodruff and I.  The success story for the week is, we were able to baptize Romario Peters and confirmed:)  We have been working with him for over 2 months and finally he got baptized.

I testify that the use of the BOM in our teaching was the main key to his conversion as well as good fellowshippers that helped him through.  The prophetic promise in the BOM is so true, when we faithfully teach people from the BOM, we see baptisms!

This Thursday, we are expecting to baptize Bryan Linde (12 years old) and Derrick Edwards (13 years old).  Then on Saturday,  Sonya Bissundial will be baptized.  Sonya is the eldest sister of Tammy Gilbert, the woman we baptized while back.  It's amazing to see the progress in the lives of these people and their willingness to become members.  Ever since we started teaching these people from the BOM and likened it to them, I noticed their lives changed and they easily accepted to join the Church.

This week I have been studying 3 Nephi 11 and in verses 37 & 38, something really struck me after much reflection and study on these 2 verses .  It becomes so clear to me why the Lord wants us to be a child.  The difference between a child and childish is a child is obedient, truthful, trustworthy, pure, humble, faithful and natural whereas a childish person is careless, foolish, and neglectful.  So no wonder why the Lord urges us to become like a child.

Mom thank you so much for sharing Bishop Po'uha's talk with me.  That's the most perfect talk I needed to hear because we have A LOT of seasonal and part time gospel investors here.  I took a picture of his talk so I can always refer to it.  I will definitely going to share this with our members in our next fast Sunday.

Well, I would like to leave a thought with you all from Heber J. Grant, he said, "That which we persist in doing becomes easier for us to do; not that the nature of the thing is changed, but that our power to do is increased." So family, never stop doing what you love to do, no matter how weak you are at it or how hard the task may become, but as you become perseverance & persistence, your power will increase, things get easier and better things turn out!

I've said enough haha!  I hope everyone has a great week and be safe:)

With love,
Elder Brown

P.s....Wow, Nana has grown up so quick, it's weird to see her travel on her own without you or dad dropping her off to school ha!
