December 1st - New companion, Elder Bates!

Good Afternoon family!

Well look at those wonderful future missionaries!  Brings a smile on my face to see the name of Christ on them.  I wish I could have done missionary work before my mission, something I would encourage the youth to do.

Thank you mom for giving me the updates on the family.  Lately I have been studying about the enabeling power in which we call grace.  Looking at a lot of the situations we go through in the longevity of the world, we dont understand this doctrine.  Even return missionaries go apostate because they do not understand the enabeling power of the atonement of Jesus Christ.  Understanding the power of grace can bring a lasting change in the idiosyncrasies of people.  So I invite you all to take some time and understand this doctrine.

Yesterday was transfer calls!  Elder Guzman will be leaving me and head down south with a samoan elder.  My new companion is Elder Bates!  He came out with me in August so I know a little bit about him.

This past week Elder Guzman and I flew out to Tobago for trade-offs!  It was great to work with such diligent and obedient missionaries!  I will be in Tobago again in a few weeks with Elder Bates!

We have been working a lot with our recent converts and asking for a lot of referrals!  We definitely got a lot of them and we are expecting to see all of them this week!  I am excited to work with Elder Bates, I know he is an incredibly diligent missionary and I know we will get along real well this transfer.

Well family, I hope you all have a great week in the snow, I sure can use some right now.  This morning we had an all Trinidad sports day and we played a lot of American Football, a man sport. :)  Please send my love to those that know me or know little about me.  I can't wait to work this week! :)

With love,

Elder Brown
