Good day Family and Friends!
Good job nana, such a great example to the youth! Great job Lawrence on your expeditious missionary efforts with your companion! As your numbers increase be mindful on how effective your lessons are and always leading toward a commitment! Keep up the great work Elda!
I really look forward to the day I can enter the holy temple again. Thank you mom for always being mindful of Lawrence and I. Know that I continue to pray for each of you and think of you often.
This past Sunday was very special. We had stake conference for the whole Caribbean area and we got to hear from: Elder Wilford W. Anderson (Elder Hatch's uncle, I met him when he came here), Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson, Jeffrey R. Holland and Elder Boyd K. Packer who presided the meeting. We had for investigators come out to watch and they absolutely loved it! It was so amazing, each person that spoke, spoke on a weakness in the Caribbean. Many members here often ask "when are we gonna get a temple?" simple answer, pay your tithing! Elder Holland hit on it really well! Sister Oscarson gave a great talk on families, Elder Anderson spoke on having faith like father Lehi, and Elder Packer spoke on overcoming temptation. Something very profound that Elder Packer said in his closing testimony: "I know the Lord, and I wish I can give you what I know but I cant. It is something you must achieve on your own". I am always amazed with his testimony and how humble the brethren are.
Elder Bates and I are doing great so far, we have been diligent in inviting people to be baptized and setting dates with people. Something that I have been working on this past week was being bold but not overbearing. Elder Bates has been a great example to me of being bold and being mindful of our purpose. Recently we have discovered a new area to work in and we have found a couple of sweet people interested in the restored gospel after one hour of finding! I know the Lord is mindful of us and will lead us to those who are prepared as we show our faith in Him.
Well family, I wish you all the best this week. Eat some chuckarama for me. and tell me how it was next Monday :) I sure do love you all!
With love,
