Good Morning!
Thank you for sharing bishops talk with me! I love how bishop can relate the things we do in life to the gospel! I will be sure to share a portion of his talk when I have the opportunity to give a talk in church.
Today Elder Bates and I will be flying out to Tobago to teach Zone Meeting and do trade-offs with the Elders there! I am excited to work with the Elders there, they have been such great examples to our zone! Trinidad Central Zone (our zone) is leading the mission in baptisms!! How great is that? In fact we just had a baptism in the zone these past two weeks and on February 21st Brother Rupert and Sean (two wonderful investigators) will be baptised!! Looking at the baptisms that we have had and will have all came from member work! I hope you know how much help members are in doing missionary work, so continue family to fellowship new and returning members and investigators.
This past Wednesday we had MLC (missionary leadership council). President Mehr and the assistants spoke a lot about member work and reactivation. The West Indies Mission will no longer be tracking the number of Contacts (people we contact in the streets, homes, etc.) and MRT's (member referrals taught). The area seventy has added a new key indicator for us which will be the number of people we have reactivated! The assistants shared a few scriptures on how the work of the Lord cannot be stopped. For the last scripture Elder Ferrin (past companion who is now the assistant) smiled and looked at me and said "we all know Elder Brown has the biggest arms in the West Indies Mission, so we will have him read this scripture".. its found in D&C 121:33 "How long can rolling waters remain impure? What power shall stay the heavens? As well might man stretch forth his puny arm to stop the Missouri river in its decreed course.." haha everyone had a good laugh at that, even got President Mehr to laugh a bit. :)
Well family I am excited for this new week! I am so happy to hear about nana as well! Keep up the great work everyone! Love you all!
With love,
Elder Brown
